UST Event

Seven students from Mahtomedi High School (MHS) recently attended the annual University of St. Thomas (UST) High School Entrepreneurship and Innovation Day and the Fowler Business Concept Challenge. The programs focus on teaching students to think creatively, to solve problems important to their communities, and to start building a foundation of entrepreneurship.

MHS students spent the day developing an idea with a UST professor, took a tour of the campus, and attended the Fowler Business Concept Challenge. The Challenge is a UST student competition to develop a business idea and compete for scholarships to help their business and idea grow. The UST visit was open to MHS students in grades 10-12. MHS students who attended included: Cullen Taylor (Class of 2026), Wyatt Herschbach (Class of 2026), Luke Roettger (Class of 2025), Molly Roettger (Class of 2027), Melanie Zhang (Class of 2027), Sommer Wood (Class of 2027), Mejken Amiot (Class of 2027).
