This year, Mahtomedi High School’s Student Leadership Council (SLC) updated the Homecoming royalty process to allow the members of the Court to have a leadership role during homecoming activities. Class of 2025 students were asked to nominate students for the Court who would best represent the Class of 2025 as leaders who exhibit kindness, integrity, community, and school spirit.
The 2024 Homecoming Court included eight students: Sidney Leciejewski, Oliver Ko, Olivia Thiele, Jacob Wilson, Cate Curran, Thomas Meader, Emily Muetzel, and Nick Pietig. Senior students nominated the members of the Court, and once the nominees were finalized, the entire high school student body voted on the King and Queen.
The Homecoming Court participated in several leadership activities during Homecoming, including visiting elementary school students, participating in the daily spirit dress-up days and social media get-to-know-you posts, handing out spirit necklaces to students and staff at MHS, and working in the school cafeteria alongside our nutrition staff to serve lunch to their peers. Congratulations to Oliver Ko and Sidney Leciejewski, who were crowned Homecoming 2024 King and Queen.
